Retail Breaches: Congress Wants Answers

Target, Neiman Marcus, American Bankers Association and National Retail Federation have each written to Congress. A Target official will testify before a House panel in early February at a hearing devoted to data breaches and their impact on consumers. A Senate committee also issued a guide for consumers concerned about personal and financial information that may have been part of the Target breach or some other attack. Congress is demanding answers about the recent retail malware attacks against Target Corp. and NeimanMarcus. Target will testify about the incident next month at a House hearing.”]
