Researchers Allege ‘Systemic’ Privacy, Security Flaws in Popular IoT Devices

Dark Cubed and Pepper researchers report security flaws in popular Internet of Things devices. Devices from Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, Zmodo, Momentum and others were found to be vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. Researchers say manufacturers and retailers are likely not even considering security at all. The report was written and designed by the researchers, and they accept full responsibility for any typos or errors, they say. In fact, researchers stressed that the iHome Smart Outlet, the Momentum camera, and the TP-Link Kasa smart outlet were all well developed, secure, and straighforward devices
