Researcher demands FireEye pay up for zero-day vulnerabilities

A security researcher has demanded that FireEye pay him for several zero-day vulnerabilities he found in the firms security products. Kristian Erik Hermansen has threatened that he will otherwise remain silent about the bugs details. FireEye reached out to the researcher to remind them of the importance of responsible disclosure. The researcher is currently asking $10,000 for each of the four vulnerabilities announced over the weekend. The firm says they appreciate the efforts of security researchers to find potential security issues and help us improve our products.”]
