Report: 7 federal agencies still have not met the basic cybersecurity standards necessary to protect America’s sensitive data. Only the Department of Homeland Security was credited with improving its security since the last report was issued. Nearly 31,000 information security incidents were reported across the federal government in 2020, an 8% increase from 2019. The report calls for a coordinated approach to cybersecurity across the entire government to coordinate with all agencies to develop and implement a cybersecurity strategy for the entire federal government.
