The SafeBrowse Google Chrome extension by safebrowse.co uses an in-browser Monero miner from Coin-hive.com. While running, this miner will utilize your computer’s CPU power. This miner will only be detected if you notice Chrome is using 50% of your CPU in the Windows Task Manager. The miner could cause physical damage to your CPU due to its running for long periods of time at high heat. The extension must be installed manually through the Google Chrome Web Store.
