Remote working increased by 159% between 2005 and 2017, according to a study by FlexJobs and Global Workplace Analytics. Remote working offers a variety of benefits, including greater flexibility, reduced commuting, higher staff retention and increased productivity. But just 3.4% of the workforce (4.7 million) are currently working from home. A survey from job search site Glassdoor showed that 67% of employees would support the decision by their employer to mandate employees work from home indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak.”]
