Remote keyless entry–not as secure as you might think

Keyless entry has always been one of life’s magical mysteries to me. I figured programming one of those doodads took a lot of technical expertise and something of a time commitment–say, 10 minutes, minimum. It’s just a little jiggery involving opening and closing the car door and turning the key in the ignition in just the right sequence. This would have surprised me a lot more if a source hadn’t recently shown me this video on how to open a car door with nothing more than a tennis ball.”]
