Rapid7 has acquired Velociraptor, an open-source, endpoint-monitoring, digital forensics and incident response organization. The security analytics and automation company says it will use the technology to enhance its incident response capabilities. Rapid7 says it has no plan to monetize Velocaraptor’s IP, but says the company will use it to help support and build the community of developers and analysts.
