Ransomware Reportedly Hits Ventilator Maker

Ransomware gang DoppelPaymer reportedly hits New York-based manufacturer Boyce Technologies Inc., which makes ventilators. Company pivoted to build ventilator for New York hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gang has threatened to leak data stolen in the incident unless the company pays ransom. Incident reflects the cyberthreats facing medical device makers, medical researchers and others involved in the response to the crisis. Doppelpaymer has been implicated in several other March-related cybercrime gangs including Telsa, Tesla and SpaceX using similar methods.”]
