Ransomware Reportedly Hits Iowa Farm Services Cooperative

Iowa-based farm services co-op has reportedly been targeted by the BlackMatter ransomware gang. The gang is demanding a $5.9 million payment from Iowa Farm Services Cooperative. The attack appears to have happened on Friday and might be the work of a Russian-speaking cyber gang. NEW Cooperative confirmed that it’s investigating a “cyber incident” that is affecting some of its IT systems and devices. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency referred all questions back to NEW Cooperative, a spokesperson says.”]
