Ransomware Getting More Targeted, Expensive Krebs on Security

Ransomware is software that scrambles all files on an infected computer with strong encryption. It then requires payment from the victim to recover them. The FBI warns that recent attacks have targeted and compromised vulnerable business servers. Ransom demands vary based on the value of the data being held hostage and the ability of the victim can pay some approximation of what it might be worth.
