PwC finds companies may be overlooking the riskiest cyber threats

A new survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has found that 60 per cent of organisations do not have a handle on the problem. 20 per cent had little to no understanding of the risks posed by data breaches through third parties. PwC said its findings are a red flag in an environment where 60% of the C-suite respondents anticipate an increase in cybercrime in 2022. But 69 per cent predict a rise in cyber spending in 2022 compared to 55 per cent last year.
