Post Breach: Jimmy John’s, Coke Sued

Jimmy John’s and Coca-Cola are both facing class action lawsuits stemming from recent data breaches. The lead plaintiffs identify instances of fraud or identity theft they allegedly experienced as a result of the breach incidents. The chances of both lawsuits being successful are slim, says Scott Vernick, a partner at the law firm Fox Rothschild whose practice includes privacy and data security law. In January, Coke said that the personal information of roughly 74,000 current and former employees, as well as contractors and vendors, was exposed.”]
