Possible BGP hijacking takes Google down

Google services went down for over an hour on Monday as traffic was rerouted to Nigeria, China, and Russia. Internet research firm ThousandEyes suspects nation-state involvement in the hijacking. Google, however, said it has no reason to believe it was a malicious hijacking attempt.
