NEXTEP Systems, a point-of-sale vendor, was recently notified by law enforcement that some of its customer locations have been compromised in a potentially wide-ranging credit card breach, KrebsOnSecurity has learned. Zoup, a chain of 75 soup eateries, is one of NEXTEPs biggest customers. The company says it does not believe all of its customers are impacted by the breach. The breach may have involved stolen credentials used to remotely administer affected systems. The stolen card data is valuable typically selling for $20 to $100 per card.”]
