Philippines Aims to Lower Piracy Rate in 2006

Business Software Alliance hopes to have a significantly lower piracy rate in 2006. Pilipinas Anti-Piracy Team (PAPT) began its crackdown of businesses using, selling, and distributing unlicensed software in September. PAPT also included raids against stores selling pirated software. BSA has issued letters to 6,000 companies advising them to ensure license license compliance. The BSA is hopeful that, with the help of the government, IP law enforcement in the country would improve.”]
