A federal grand jury has charged 13 men with participating in a series of 2010 and 2011 attacks. The attacks were carried out under the banner of Operation Payback, aka “Operation: Payback Is A Bitch” They were first launched to target anti-piracy organizations in the U.S., Australia, Britain, France, the Netherlands and other countries. PayPal, which was also targeted, has said it suffered losses of $5.6 million as a result of the DDoS attacks.”]
