OpenSea Customer Emails Exposed in Third-Party Breach

Non-fungible token marketplace OpenSea says a rogue employee shared its email address database with an “unauthorized external party” The company is warning customers of a heightened likelihood of email phishing attempts. The employee in question is under suspension pending the outcome of an investigation. No email content was leaked, only email addresses were compromised in the process, an OpenSea official says. The company says it has informed law enforcement authorities and is cooperating with Customer.io’s ongoing investigation. No other clients’ data has been compromised, a spokesperson says.”]
