2019 saw a flurry of attacks on open source servers, operating systems and software. Mobile-first phishing and mobile-first attacks dominated headlines in the news this year. Mobile security will increasingly be seen as fertile ground for compromise in the cloud, with 5G and 5G becoming more common. Facebook’s privacy woes continued to plague the social network as Cambridge Analytica scandal continued to drag on the rails. The social network was rocked by a series of security breaches, including a breach of the Linux source code repository.
