The International Review of Research in Open And Distance Learning (IRRODL) has identified which include brute force attacks, cross-site scripting, and IP spoofing. Although these risks are present protection measures such as installing firewalls and antivirus software, using digital right management and cryptography and training security professionals can be implemented. It should also be noted that threats can originate from outside and insiders so the security systems should be robust, comprehensive, and ongoing.
