Researchers discovered a scheme whereby hackers registered a domain, smarttracker.org, and opened a Google Adwords account. On certain searches, results were engineered so that a trusted hyperlink like the Better Business Bureau would be displayed in the Adwords space. But when a user clicked on that link, they were first redirected to a link, which attempted to insert a keylogger on the user’s machine.
