Japanese security company Secom is developing a private security drone for private security firms. The Ascending Technologies quadrotor can track suspects with lasers and can be rented for $58 per month. The drones won’t be making their actual debut until 2014, at which point they’ll be available for rent. Drones are in ever-wider use by the military, but they’ll also be the private, flying-camera spies for private companies too. The future will be full of drones, from government drones to loss-prevention models owned by Walmart.”]
