President Barack Obama has nominated Deborah Matz to be the Chair of the National Credit Union Administration. Matz previously served on the NCUA Board from March 2002 until September 2005. She would replace the current vice chair, Rodney Hood, whose six year term ended April 10. The independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions is governed by a three-member board. The other two members of the board are Chairman Michael Fryzel and board member Gigi Hyland. Fryzel’s term ends August 2013.”]
