‘Obama for America’ and ‘Mitt Romney’s’ apps ask for phone numbers, location and contact details. The apps are intended to be used for canvassing in swing states. They also ask for information on friends and family members of the candidates. The Obama for America app also asks for information from a phone’s contact book and the phone’s SD Card.
