TelstraClear, Telstra s New Zealand subsidiary, has hired one of the worlds best known hackers. Owen Thor Walker, a 19-year-old who became the subject of a US Federal Bureau of Investigation Operation Bot Roast cyber crime investigation, was part of a hacker group known as the A-Team. New Zealand police finally caught him last year and he admitted to being the ring-leader of the group. The widespread compromise affecting key government agencies is ongoing, according to the U.S. government.
