NSA chief sides with FBI on encryption, says backdoor sounds ‘shady’

Admiral Mike Rogers, head of the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command, spoke at a cybersecurity conference. He said the bulk data collection is in compliance with the Patriot Act. Rogers said there needs to be a “legal framework,” a “formalized process” for law enforcement to access encrypted communications.
