NIDS to resolve issues relating to addresses for persons living in rural Jamaica

The introduction of the National Identification System, NIDS, will resolve issues relating to addresses for persons living in rural jamaica. Thousands of Jamaicans only have the names of their communities or roads for their addresses. NIDS Programme Director, Warren Vernon explains that technology will allow for more accurate addresses for those enrolled under the NIDS. Mr Vernon says technology will be utilized to ensure residents have specific addresses for their communities and their homes in rural areas of the country. The new system will be rolled out across the country in the next two years.
