Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says the NIDS system will be under the inspectorate of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica as an added layer of protection. The Minister says this decision was based on the confidence that Jamaica has in the commissions ability to handle information properly. According to Chuck, the decision will ensure that an already secure system is further protected. He was speaking yesterday in the House of Representatives in reference to the decision to put the system under an inspectorate under the electoral commission of Jamaica.
