New Mexico Sues Google over Children’s Privacy Law. State alleges Google collects personal data of students younger than 13 without their parents’ consent. New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas says the data collection violates the federal Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act. Google says it doesnt use data collected from primary and secondary school students to target ads.
