John Kelsey Gammell was sentenced to 180 months in prison by a federal judge in Minnesota. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to cause intentional damage to a protected computer and two counts of being a felon-in-possession of a firearm. He used both his own computers and DDoS for hire services, including VDoS, CStress, Inboot, Booter.xyz, and IPStresser to launch the attacks. He then tried to hide his involvement with a variety of tactics, from spoofing IP addresses and using cryptocurrency to pay for the services to encrypting and scrubbing hard disks.”]
