U.S. senators and their staff will receive assistance from the Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA) to protect their accounts and devices from cyber threats. The bipartisan bill was introduced by Senators Ron Wyden (D-Ore) and Tom Cotton (R-Ark) The S. 890 bill would allow the SAA responsible for the Senate s cybersecurity to offer opt-in cybersecurity support. The bill has been endorsed by both security advocates and experts alike, such as Google, Google, Carnegie Mellon CyLab, Public Citizen, and more.
