Both Register.com and Network Solutions are suffering from an ongoing DNS outage that prevents access to websites, VPNs, and other services. The outage started early this morning with customers suddenly finding that their websites or business services were no longer accessible via their hostnames. Neither company has stated that their DNS outages are linked, but both are owned by the same company, Newfold Digital. Customers have been forced to switch their DNS servers to other DNS service providers who are happily offering their services to affected customers.
