Netwalker Ransomware Operators Want $4.5 Million from Data Center Giant Equinix

Hackers broke into Equinix data center giant’s data center and demanded a $4.5 million ransom. The attack occurred over the Labor Day holiday weekend. The data center company has 74 remote desktop servers and login credentials being auctioned in hacker forums on the dark web. The gang demands a $9 million ransom and threatens to publish the data if their demands are not met. Most customers operate their own equipment within the data centers, this incident has had no impact.”]
