Microsoft researchers discovered the flaws in Netgear DGN-2200v1 series routers. The flaws can allow attackers to take over devices and access stored credentials. Netgear has released a security advisory patching the flaws. The vulnerabilities aren’t the first time Netgear routers have had authentication flaws, allowing attackers to use them as an entry point into an entire network, researchers say. The company chose to leave the company at risk for at least 45 of its 79 models, so it leaves it at risk.
