A new strain of point-of-sale malware dubbed FastPOS is changing the credit fraud game. The malware, dubbed Fastpos, steals credit card details at speed and then moves on to the next target. Researchers say the malware has avoided complex enterprise networks in favor of smaller, simpler retail systems. The shotgun approach to data theft is quickly noticed by organizations with large IT teams, while smaller companies may not realize what’s going on until its too late.
