NCUA Reports Email Phishing Scam

National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) reports that there is a phishing scam hitting credit union members. The fraudulent emails solicit credit union member participation in an Online Survey or Member Survey, promising compensation of $40 as an inducement to respond to the email. There have been other fraudulent phishing email scams using the FDIC and other federal agencies as lures in the past year. The NCUA warns that these emails may be an attempt to obtain confidential member information. Credit unions should alert their members to this phishing activity.”]
