Nine vulnerabilities were identified in the implementation of the Domain Name System (DNS) protocol used by TCP/IP network communication stacks. The most serious of the flaws are rated critical in severity. Names:WRECK is based on how the parsing of domain names can break wreck DNS implementations in TCP /IP stacks, leading to. denial of service or remote code-execution attacks. Patches are available for some affected vendors, with some vendors offering patches.
