My Book Live Users Wake Up to Wiped Devices

Western Digital s My Book Live storage device wiped clean on devices around the world. Western Digital blamed the issue on the exploitation of a remote command-execution (RCE) vulnerability. A Western Digital forum user said their folders all had an edit date of June 23 (Wednesday), around 3 p.m. PT (Wednesday) Western Digital said it was the date of the last update for its MyBook Live firmware in 2015.
