Morgan Stanley: Insider Stole Data

Morgan Stanley employee allegedly stole account data for up to 10 percent of its wealth management clients. Stolen information for about 900 clients was posted online for a brief period of time, the firm says. Morgan Stanley is notifying all potentially affected clients and instituting enhanced security procedures. The data stolen by the employee does not include account passwords or Social Security numbers, Morgan Stanley says. The breach puts Morgan Stanley at a competitive risk, expert says, and could have made for valuable leads to other brokerages.”]
