Mobile content firms push for consumer privacy

The mobile content industry has signed up to a new privacy framework that is designed to protect consumers. MEF, the global community for mobile content and commerce, has launched its Privacy in Mobile Applications Initiative. The initiative has been backed by industry stakeholders, including founding members Vodafone, SNR Denton, Impact Mobile, InMobi and mBlox. The standard aims to create a framework for developers to define and communicate mobile app privacy policies, establish best practices and provide practical tools.”]
