Mimecast: SolarWinds Attackers Stole Source Code

Email security firm Mimecast says it has found evidence that a limited number of source code repositories were also accessed by attackers in the SolarWinds hack. The company sought to downplay the impact of this access, saying source code was incomplete and would be insufficient to build and run any aspect of the service. Texas-based company was the primary victim of the now-infamous cyberattack believed to be the work of Russian state-sponsored actors. Other high-profile cyberattack victims include Microsoft, FireEye and several U.S. government agencies.
