Millions of Passwords, Credit Card Numbers at Risk in Breach of Sony Playstation Network Krebs on Security

Sony says users’ names, addresses, passwords and credit card information may have been compromised. The company says the breach occurred between April 17 and April 19. Sony says it has engaged an outside security firm to investigate what happened. It says it will soon begin notifying customers about the breach by email. A Reddit posting from a site dedicated to hacking and modding PlayStations says a glitch in the system allowed extreme piracy of PSN contents content may have caused the breach.”]
