Microsoft’s New Edge Browser to Support Chrome Extensions – Even Malicious Ones

Microsoft Edge will be a Chromium-based browser that will allow Chrome extensions to be added to the browser. It will be easier for existing users to switch to the new browser, but it will also be harder to keep track of malicious extensions from being added. Microsoft has been criticized for not being able to keep tabs on malicious extensions that are often added to its Chrome Web Store. It would be nice to see this be done to weed out extensions that can hijack ads and hijack search results.
