Microsoft’s BlueHat goal: Kill bugs dead

Microsoft announces a $200,000 prize for “BlueHat” Prize. The prize is designed to reward security researchers for finding flaws in a vendor’s product that have made it past quality processes. Some organizations, such as Google and Mozilla, have had bug bounty programs in place for a time. Facebook just announced a bug bounty program with a base reward of $500. Analyst: “It’s a much more scalable way to attack the problem, rather than paying people to find individual vulnerabilities””]
