Microsoft is testing a new Windows 10 security feature dubbed Kernel Data Protection (KDP) The feature is designed to block malicious actors from corrupting drivers and software running in the Windows kernel. KDP is already available for testing in the latest Windows 10 Insider Build. Microsoft also announced last month that the Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) enterprise endpoint security platform can now detect and protect customers from Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) malware using a new UEFI scanner. The full list of components required by VBS to run on a Windows 10 device is available here.
