Microsoft Teams adds end-to-end encryption (E2EE) to one-on-one calls

Microsoft adds new security, privacy, and compliance features to Microsoft Teams chat and collaboration solution. Microsoft Teams is a cloud collaboration platform designed to allow an organization’s team to stay organized and communicate via text, audio, and video, all in one place. Customers will be able to enable end-to-end encryption for 1:1 unscheduled calls if the information transmitted requires additional protection. Microsoft is also adding Customer Key support to allow customers to add a layer of encryption at the tenant level, similar to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
