Microsoft Plans to Add Native Caret Browsing to Chrome

Developers from Microsoft are aiming to implement native Caret Browsing in Chromium, which if implemented, would bring it to Chrome and the upcoming Microsoft Edge browser. Currently, Edge and Firefox have caret browsing built into the browser, but for Chrome it is only available through a Google Accessibility extension. When enabled, a moveable cursor will be shown on the page that can be moved with the keyboard’s arrow keys and users can select text using the Shift key as if you were in a word processor.
