Microsoft to issue five security updates next week to patch 15 vulnerabilities in Windows, Excel, SharePoint and Groove. Two of the updates affect Windows, with one impacting only the server editions: Server 2003, Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2. The other two updates will fix problems in Excel 2010 on Windows and Excel 2011 for the Mac. The five updates will be released at approximately 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 13.
