U.S. Marshals seized Zeus botnet command-and-control servers at two hosting centers in Illinois and Pennsylvania. Microsoft, two financial industry associations, successfully argued in a civil complaint. The complaint, unsealed Friday, accused 39 “John Does” of “controlling computer botnets” The accused allegedly infected 13 million PCs with Zeus software over a five-year period, allowing them to steal over $100 million.
