Microsoft’s digital assistant Cortana was first unveiled with Windows Phones, and it was later introduced on Android and iOS. Microsoft announced in July that it would discontinue the Cortana app for mobile devices. Cortana will still receive new features for Windows 10 and will get better with regular updates via the Microsoft Store. Amazon’s Alexa boasts over 50 million downloads on Google Play, while Google Play only shows approximately 1 million users installed it on Android devices. The apps will stop working after March 31, 2021.
